The Singing Librarian: News

December 2014 - December 18, 2014

Looking forward to playing at Witt's End Candy Emporium this Saturday. I hope they have bull's eye candy and chuckles!

Annual post 2013 - January 4, 2013

I hope all of you readers out there are in good health. 2013 is going to be a very busy year. Lots of libraries and schools to visit. I just put a new set of strings on my 1960's Silvertone archtop so I am rarin' to go. I do plan on performing a little more this summer. So, if you are thinking of contacting me for a show, do it soon as my schedule tends to fill up quickly. Looking forward to stopping by the Cincinnati Children's museum in February. It's a great venue. See you there!

Annual post - December 5, 2011

I have to say that I was shocked to see my last entry was almost a year ago! 2011 has been an awesome year for performing electrically and acoustically. My rock band Cougar Ace is doing really well. I still wish I could bring my amps to my children's shows. I've been doing more class visits to the schools of Kenton County as part of my library job. Plenty of opportunities to promote reading and music. My annual December shows are just around the corner. I'll be at the Cincinnati Children's Museum on Sunday, December 11. Hope to see you there.

Still Around! - December 17, 2010

Yes, it has been quite a while since I updated my journal. I've slimmed down my performance schedule lately to devote some time to my other music project, Cougar Ace. You always hear about rockers writing children's material so I've decided to flip it around and spend a little time with the drums and Marshall amps. So far, it's been a real gas. There are actually some similarities in performing for kids and adults. More on that later. I look forward to doing a few more children's shows in 2011. I seem to be incorporating more stories into my performances (lots of great childhood memories of stealing food from the kitchen)
